Customization with Dell PCs

Whether a desktop or a laptop computer, purchasing a Dell provides the customer with a computer customized to their needs.  Dell is renowned for their customer service, and also for allowing their customers to build their own computer with the specifications needed to achieve their goals.  Unlike computers from other manufacturers, Dell computers don’t come soiled with bloatware.

For people who might not know, bloatware is all the programs software companies pay other manufacturers to pre-install on their computers. These programs are unneeded, and most are just selling another service. Purchasing a Dell ensures there are no random programs installed on the computer. In addition to their high-quality PCs, Dell also boasts an impressive line of peripherals, including printers and Dell printer cartridges.

The Dominance of Samsung

The Samsung Group holds the honor of being the world’s largest conglomerate. Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, Samsung finally overtook the Japanese brand of Sony as the leader in consumer electronics. Because Samsung is such an influential global company, their influence can be seen not just in Seoul, but in all of South Korea. Sometimes the country is even jokingly called the “Republic of Samsung.”

Founded in 1938 by Lee Byung-chul, the current acting CEO is Lee Soo-bin. The scope of their influence and wealth can be seen in many ventures, but it is most notable in the Petronas Twin Towers. Constructed in Malaysia, Samsung had a hand in constructing the second of those towers. While they produce a variety of products—from Samsung printer ink to HD TVs—a Samsung cell phone remains one of their best known and successful product lines. To that end, they are the second largest cell phone maker in the world.

What Will They Come Up with Next?

They say that Apple users are a completely different breed, and I think there’s some truth to that claim. For example, I’ve been using the computers and various other peripheral devices since the mid ’80s and the introduction of the Macintosh computer. It seems a bit silly now, but the Mac was innovative for bringing a graphical user interface and the use of a mouse to mainstream consumers.

Apple adherents also tend to appreciate sleek industrial designs. Remember how incredible the iMac appeared upon its introduction in the ’90s? Just putting a CPU and monitor together in one stylish unit was a breakthrough. Most recently I’ve been impressed by the iPad and the recent unveiling of the iPhone 4. And while innovation is certainly the company’s M.O., they still offer high-quality Apple toner cartridges and other staple computer products. At this point, it’s just fun to see what Apple will come up with next.

What’s In a Name?

For emerging companies, name recognition is one of the biggest obstacles. Many people will purchase products simply because of a familiar moniker, and while most companies dream about being a household name, for others it is actually cause for distress. If a name becomes too ubiquitous, it runs the risk of losing its copyright protection. Note that little symbol at the end of the “Xerox” image; without that, any company would have free reign to use that name.

For example, do you blow your nose with Kleenex or facial tissue? Do you use Q-Tips or cotton swabs? Make copies or Xerox? While these distinctions may seem pedestrian enough, the aforementioned companies have all made concerted efforts to distinguish their unique product and moniker from the competition in order to maintain their copyright. This ensures that Kleenex is the only one who can use that title for marketing facial tissues and Xerox printer ink and machines maintain their level of differentiation.

A Publishing Enterprise

The recent economic recession hit my city pretty hard. For starters, one of the two major metropolitan daily papers was forced to close, and that had an adverse effect on the level of news coverage in my neighborhood. The paper’s loss turned out to be my gain. With the help of some desktop publishing software and a few enterprising friends, I created a weekly paper from scratch.

I bought a domain for the paper’s online presence, and then sought out local advertisers. We started out creating the paper using printer ribbons in my garage, but the paper saw immediate success. Before long, I had developed a viable business model that allowed the writers and me to focus on issues that mattered most to the local community. It’s a true grassroots success story, and I’m trying hard to uphold the level of honesty and integrity that my neighbors have come to expect from a news publication.

Record the Moments that Matter Most

It’s always funny to think back to the days when we had to use point and shoot cameras with film that had to be developed. These days we are lucky that technology is on our side and is making it easier for us to record the memories we want to keep forever. Digital cameras are the photographer’s best friend.

These gadgets are so convenient because they can plug in to our computers and upload pictures within a matter of minutes. After we upload the pictures onto our computers, we can look at them whenever we want and print them out to share with others. Home printing is becoming increasingly affordable, and it is now cost effective to purchase a new inkjet cartridge in lieu of traditional photographs.

Reach People with Paper

When promoting your company or service, you want to be able to tell your customers a lot about it. One way of communicating your message and reaching your target market is through brochures. It is a compact and economical way to inform your customers of what your company can offer, and people are more likely to pay attention to something tangible, as opposed to words on a screen. Remember though, people are deterred by too much text, so use a combination of graphics and bullet points as well.

Many print shops can make brochures, but printing your own is always an option. With the advancements in Epson printer ink and other printing related technologies, you can create professional-quality documents in your own home or office. The quality of the paper and printing is very important since it will be the first hand contact your customers will have of you.

Anyone who uses inkjet printers regularly knows the cartridge replacements cost a fortune. Granted, the ink and the plastic used to make the cartridges are extremely cheap, but somehow I have to spend a hundred bucks every time I print a few hundred pages. Obviously, this adds up.

I think that the printer ink manufacturers justify the high prices by claiming that it is meant to support the R&D that went into the product. Since the process of developing new technologies costs a fortune, they need to recoup that money through overblown prices on products that cost next to nothing to make. Whatever the justification, I simply can’t afford to continue paying absurd prices for these things, which is why I was so glad when I found an online outlet with affordable Brother ink cartridges.

Photographs are precious mementos that can remind you of your good times for years to come. New digital cameras, high-tech printers and premium Canon printer ink allow us to print pictures in our own homes. But before you start printing out pictures, you’ll need to make sure you have the correct paper.

There are two types of paper to print photos on: glossy photo paper and matte photo paper. Many expert photographers prefer glossy paper for its sheen and professional quality. Matte paper, on the other hand, also produces good pictures but lacks shininess.

Printer Ink or Toner

With the expensive prices on ink and toner printer cartridge refills, have you ever wondered if it’s more inexpensive to just buy a new printer with the ink or toner already in it than to purchase more cartridges? Studies show that sometimes, it is. Printer companies are notorious for inflating printer ink or toner prices, however there are measures you can take to protect yourself. Taking a look at Consumer Reports, you can identify which companies and brands charge the most for ink and toner, and purchase your printer accordingly.

Though some printers produce a higher quality picture than others, it is also important to ensure you don’t encounter the common ink and toner pitfall.  Check reviews online and even with a store clerk before you buy the one that seems the best.
