The Xerox Name

Xerox, a name that became synonymous with the action of ‘making copies’ in the late 20th century, is one of the most trusted names in printing.  Back when scanners were a developing technology and printers were still in their infancy, the Xerox machine was where people made copies.  It was common to hear phrases like “I need to go Xerox these papers before the meeting!”, and this terminology is still carried on today.  In addition to their renowned copy machines, Xerox is also a premier manufacturer of printers, drawing on their experience from their well known copy machines.  A Xerox printer is one of the most reliable printers in the industry, and boasts an excellent print quality as well.

You can purchase Xerox printers and Xerox ink cartridge refills at most all retailers of fine quality printers.  In addition to their reliability, Xerox is well known for their simple to understand interface; another feature imported from their experience with copy machines.

Selecting the Right Printer Ink

Let’s face it, selecting the correct printer ink can be a real hassle because of all the different brands, models, variations of ink, etc.  In addition, it’s hard to know whether a retailer even has the correct ink until you’ve been there.  Because of this, the best place to buy printer ink is online, but even locating the correct printer ink online can be a challenge.  Take these steps to find the right printer ink and then bookmark the page where you buy it!

(for the purpose of providing an example, we’ll be using a Samsung ML Series printer)

1.) First identify the brand of printer you have, this should be easily identifiable on the printer, and if not, look at the label underneath.  Common printer brands include Canon, Samsung, Brother, Lexmark, and Epson.  For this example, we’ll say the printer is a Samsung.

2.) Next identify the model, which can be a little bit difficult.  The easiest place to find the model of the printer is in the manual (it should say on the first page or the cover).  If you don’t have a manual, check the label on the back or bottom of the printer.  Our example printer turns out to be a Samsung ML-2010.

3.) Once you have the brand and the model, just perform a standard search for this kind of ink, and select color, black and white, or other special inks.  We’ve now found the correct Samsung printer ink (black) for our Samsung ML-2010 printer!
