It happened like this; I had been drafting a detailed proposal for a dramatic restructuring to how our financial department worked. In this tough economy, I felt like we were wasting a lot of time using archaic procedures, and work wasn’t being done in an efficient manner. I had my proposal ready to go for a meeting with the managers and directors, I hit the print button, and the black ink warning comes up on the computer screen! I panicked, because I had no idea where to find more Lexmark ink cartridges in the office, and the meeting was in just a few minutes.
In hindsight, I should have printed out the proposal much earlier, but at that time, I needed to fix the problem in a hurry. I work for a small manufacturing company, so our office isn’t the kind of place you find random office supplies sitting around. I ended up finding an old printer in another part of the office; I yanked out the Lexmark ink cartridge, and brought it back to my computer. Then I printed with all haste! Thankfully, it all worked out in the end, and my proposal went over very well!
